SETTING UP YOUR LIVING SPACE

Start the process by...

Start the process by standing in your front doorway and look at the space with new eyes.

  • Is a piece of furniture blocking the entrance way; i.e., couch?

  • Is there a clear path from the door to the rest of the house?
  • Are there stairs right in front of your door?
  • Is your door old and the locks not secure?

These are all things that should be carefully looked at and corrected if necessary.

A person’s first impression of your home is a lasting impression, so strive to make the right impression by having a clean and uncluttered walkway (both inside and outside into your home)

Although Feng Shui doesn’t have to be about moving your furniture around you may want to consider moving furniture that creates a blocked entrance to any doorway in your home.

When you open your front door and you face a wall – think about placing a pleasant picture on that wall as a welcoming sign to your home.

If at all possible put a red rug in front of your door – a sign of friendship into your home as well as being an auspicious color. You can also place 9 Chinese coins under this rug to bring prosperity into your home. The 9 coins represent the 9 successful Chinese emperors.
